Holiday Cooking at the Youth Garden Project Print E-mail

Adventure Ed welcomed the holiday season with a healthy holiday cooking event held at the Youth Garden Project on December 11.  Students learned about making good food choices and sampled delicious holiday dishes under the instruction of nutritionist Sarah Heffron.  Club Red Prevention Programming staff member Jane Butter led the event with Adventure Ed tutor Abby Scott.

The program featured seasonal produce and emphasized the importance of using local, sustainable ingredients.  Each participating student cooked with the staff and had a great time eating the tasty results.  

Many thanks to the staff of the Youth Garden Project for providing the kitchen space for this event.  The kids loved it!
