The Moab Strings Program: bringing music to the children of Grand County. This year-long program for students third grade and up happens at HMK Elementary, Moab Charter School, and Grand County Middle School. The Moab Strings Program (MSP) is currently in its fifth year of programming. The MSP is structured differently from BEACON clubs, functioning as a year-long commitment and offered in partnership with the Moab Music Festival. Consistent attendance and commitment is required in the weekly one and a half hour classes. The MSP is under the administration of the BEACON Afterschool Program with artistic and additional financial support from the Moab Music Festival. All of us at the BEACON Afterschool Program and the Moab Music Festival hope you will consider this unique opportunity for your child to participate in learning to play a string instrument and making music together with wonderful, new friends!
